The weights of CC and Robson Arena await the athletes of the 2023 Weightlifting National Championships.

Ed Robson Arena will host the 2023 USA Weightlifting National Championships later this month, marking the first time the event has been held in Colorado Springs in almost 100 years of competition.

"We are thrilled to finally welcome the country's strongest athletes to our backyard," Pedro Meloni, USA Weightlifting's director of events and sponsorship, said in the August 2022 Team USA announcement. "Between the city's love for Olympic sports and its natural beauty, this national championship will be one for the books."

The event, which is also supported by the Colorado Springs Sports Corporation, will take place June 24 through July 2, 2023.

USA Weightlifting headquarters are located just two miles from Robson, highlighting the venue’s convenient location in downtown Colorado Springs.

"I can think of no place better than Olympic City USA and our state-of-the-art multi-purpose arena to host the USA Wrestling Championships,” Vice President and Director of Athletics for Colorado College Lesley Irvine said in last year’s announcement.

In addition to the USAW National Championships, there are several divisions of competitions being held during this eight-day event, including the youth championships, the national junior championships, and the U23 and U25 championships.

Tickets are required and can be purchased here. Ed Robson Arena policies and regulations, including the clear bag policy, will be in effect for all events. Please visit the arena’s website for more information.
