As CC’s Web Content Manager, Amber focuses on optimizing the college’s web presence and supporting the many voices that contribute to our website. With a background rooted in teaching and professional development, she is passionate about empowering the CC web author community. She enjoys collaborating with campus partners to ensure their digital content is accessible, engaging, and effectively tells the story of their department or office.
Amber joined Colorado College in February 2026 after spending 15 years at Rice University in Houston. Prior to her career in higher education, she served as a high school chemistry teacher. She holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Louisiana State University and an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A&M University.
Outside of the office, Amber is an outdoor enthusiast who loves hiking and long-distance backpacking. Her most notable adventure was trekking 1,350 miles along the Pacific Crest Trail. When she isn't on the trails, she enjoys experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.
