Ken is originally from Southern New Jersey. He holds an MA in Comparative Literature and an MAT in Italian both from UMass Amherst (2022). He earned an honors B.A. in Cultural Studies and Critical Pedagogy from UMass Amherst's BDIC program (2011). Prior to teaching, Ken had a long career in restaurants and hospitality as a cook, bartender, wine seller, restaurant manager, and hospitality consultant in Western Massachusetts.
