Ben Greenly ‘23 worked in Tree-Care for a month and a half before becoming the paraprof for Film and Media Studies. It was there that he learned very valuable things such as how to tie a bowline knot and how to tie a running bowline knot.
Before his career with the South Suburban Parks Department he was a student of Colorado College and the last recorded English Major on the Film Track. Unfortunately, after his graduation that major had to be closed. In the words of Former Department Chair Jared Richman, “he was too good, no one else would be able to compete”. It was at Colorado College where he would participate in the making of CC Senior Thesis such as Love Bites and Underneath Those Scales. These films were remarked on for their fantastic acting and great use of lighting, all things that Greenly is proficient in.
Greenly previously worked on films as an actor and remembers his imdb credited roles of “Grandson” and “Son” incredibly fondly.Greenly is a fan of the English Department, Film and Media Studies and horror movies involving squibs and fake blood. He hopes that Colorado College will continue to produce more of all three of these things.
