Krista is a biological anthropologist with a research focus on primate ecology and evolution. Her early research took her to the Bocas del Toro archipelago in Panama and to southern Madagascar where she investigated the responses of primates to human disturbances. Currently, Krista is studying the ecology of nocturnal primates. She is interested in understanding how factors such as body size, predator pressure, and light levels shape the lives of nocturnal primates in order to model the nocturnal/diurnal transition that occurred early in primate evolution.
