Heidi Eckwall has over thirty years of experience designing lighting for live performance.  She has toured nationally and internationally with artists including Nora Chipaumire, Urban Bush Women, Compagnie Jant-Bi, Margaret Jenkins, HIJACK, Rosy Simas Danse, BodyCartography Project and Emily Johnson/catalyst.  Heidi is based in Minneapolis, MN, where she collaborates with dance, theater, music and puppetry artists. Additional skills include film/video production (camera, lighting, editing), projection, set design, stage management, production management, and technical direction. Heidi holds a BA in Middle Eastern and South Asian Studies from the University of Minnesota. She has designed and taught lighting at Colorado College since 2002.
