PH280 - Comparative Philosophies

This course explores central issues in philosophy from a cross-cultural, comparative perspective. Drawing on classical and contemporary texts, the course covers topics such as ethics, metaphysics, epistemology, and conceptions of the self from a comparative point of view. The challenge of comparing concepts and traditions across cultures is discussed. (Not offered 2021-22). Meets the Critical Learning: AIM requirement.
