Numerical Analysis

The development and analysis of algorithms for approximating solutions to mathematical problems. Topics covered include: approximating functions, finding roots, approximating derivatives and integrals, solving differential equations, solving systems of linear equations, and finding eigenvalues. (Not offered 2022-23).

Prerequisite: Mathematics 315 or some experience of ordinary differential equations with consent of instructor.
