This course is open to students interested in Renaissance music and Italian culture. “The Renaissance Banchetto”, a center of wealth and power, included theatrical and musical performances, and is the perfect setting to teach music and history. Upon completion of the course, students will have acquired an understanding and an appreciation of the Italian Renaissance with the festive and sinister undercurrents of the banchetto!
