Who could be more credible and specific than our alumni in spreading the word about CC’s unique intellectual adventure?
 – President Richard F. Celeste
“We offer superb teaching and a well-balanced education at Colorado College, but because we’re the only top liberal arts college in our region, we are sometimes overlooked outside the Rockies,” says college President Richard F. Celeste. “Who could be more credible and specific than our alumni in spreading the word about CC’s unique intellectual adventure?”

City visits, planned through the fall semester, include events for alumni, prospective students, media, and donors. Advancement plans to raise $5 million in each target city in the next five years to benefit CC’s financial aid program, ensuring the best and brightest can attend CC regardless of need, as well as to support Vision 2010, which is boosting academic rigor, improving CC’s diversity, and developing its next-generation campus.

The class of 2009’s 38 percent acceptance rate represents the highest level of selectivity CC has exercised since its transition to the Block Plan in 1970. Admission staff will work with City Champions to visit more prospective students one-on-one as part of recruitment, and will challenge the alumni to provide five internships for CC students.

Alumni in the 10 target cities and their near vicinities who are interested in participating in the City Champions program are invited to contact alumni relations at (800) 852-6519 or development at (800) 782-6306.

Help CC students find opportunity on the front lines of a changing world.
