Young Celeste "Toasted"

for Fundraiser Supporting Alumna's Sculpture

Eight-year-old Sam Celeste, son of CC President Richard F. Celeste and his wife Jacqueline Lundquist, top, was “toasted” in downtown Colorado Springs in December for his efforts in raising $10,000 for a local landmark, the Uncle Wilber Fountain. Fountain designers Kat Tudor ’77, right, and her husband Bob, left, created a giant toaster that featured a likeness of Sam popping out of one slot and a likeness of Sam’s Scottish terrier popping out of the other.
