Molly Alm Swanson is a personal trainer at Miramont Sports Center in Fort Collins, Colo. She also serves on the Colorado State University Kappa Kappa Gamma advisory board. • Ryan Banagle is working toward a Ph.D. in historical musicology at Harvard University with the goal of teaching at a school like (“or perhaps at”) CC. • Erin Hendrick is a law clerk for the New Hampshire Supreme Court in Concord. • Dan Johnson and Sarah Leone were married Aug. 20 in Providence, R.I. She worked as an English teacher in Benin, West Africa, and lived without electricity in N’Dali, a large village in the country’s northern region. Suzanne plans to put her Peace Corps skills to use with a job in international education. • Annie Mack and Ernesto Bruce were married Sept. 4, 2004, in the Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden in Portland, Ore. Alumni in attendance were Nancy MacGregor Bennetts ’80, Jessica Blank, Caroline McCusker-Concannon Bulmer, McLean Bulmer ’98, Alex DeLucenay, John Grout ’75, Libby Mack VanVleet ’99, and Kent VanVleet ’98. • Sabina Mehta completed her residency at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota and moved to Denver, where she is an audiologist for Kaiser Permanente. • Katie Pratt Banagale is working toward a master’s in public history at Northeastern University. • Robert Savinelli is a graduate student in chemistry at the University of California-Santa Barbara. • Greg Singer is an M.F.A. candidate at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, N.Y. He exhibited a new sculpture at the Steuben West Gallery for a four-day viewing in October.

5th Reunion, Oct. 6-8, 2006!
Yael Cohen and other Austin-area alumni weathered one hurricane (Rita) in an effort to raise relief funds for the victims of another (Katrina). Their Oct. 16 fundraiser and alumni event in Austin, Texas, was originally scheduled for an earlier date, but had to be rescheduled due to the oncoming storm. The group ultimately raised $230 for Red Cross hurricane disaster relief with a Mardi Gras-style celebration: lots of gumbo, beads, masks, beignets, and French Market coffee. • Nitin Coonjoobeeharry and Carlos Centurion ’02 were in Germany in September to celebrate the wedding of former CC exchange student Alex Dowrski ’98 to Daniela Merda. Also in attendance were fellow exchange students Jan Bertram ’98 and Sanjay Kamble ’98. Carlos will open his Mediterranean-style restaurant, Por Fin, in Miami this fall. Sanjay is a systems analyst for IT Practice in Copenhagen, Denmark. Alex is an account manager for Foote, Cone, and Belding in Hamburg, Germany. Jan is an air traffic controller in Bremen, Germany. Nitin is a graduate student in Aix-en-Provence, France. • Arijana Hodzic works as a senior data analyst. She received her M.S. in mathematics from the University of Denver in 2004, and currently lives in Aurora, Colo. with her husband. • Ryan Larson is pursuing a master’s in architecture from Iowa State University. He expects to graduate in 2008. • James Sizemore and Nicole Hagge ’02 were married June 18 in Crystal Lake, Ill. Alumni in attendance were Mike Baehr ’00, Teo Ballve, Ben Buehler, Jon Christensen, Courtney Druen, Mike Eubank, Jordan Mitchnik ’03, Hunter Palmer, Tracy Shapiro ’03, Ben Wright, and Jordan Zlotoff. James and Nicki live in New York City. James teaches at New York University and City University of New York and composes music for film and television. Nicki graduated from the French Culinary Institute and works as a freelance journalist and public relations executive. • Matt Stahl is currently working on a master’s in environmental health, and is “getting to speak lots of Spanish” through his job as coordinator of Promotores de Salud with the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences in Fort Worth, Texas.

Jesse Lowes and Francesca Doriss ’03 have been living and working as English teachers in Gyeongju, South Korea, since August 2005. While they are continually fascinated by Korean culture, the mysteries of Korean language remain elusive to them. Their taste for kimchi “has grown to the point of addiction,” and visiting temples and communing with granite hilltop Buddhas number among their favorite weekend pleasures. Their future plans include “all or none of the following”: travels through Japan, Mongolia, and China, among other places; grad school (“someday”); and settling down (“whatever that may mean”). • Menelek Lumumba is the assistant dean of admission at Occidental College in Los Angeles. • Sara Luther is a foreign-service officer with the U.S. Department of State at the U.S. Embassy in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. • Adair Stevenson is working at a geotechnical engineering firm in South Carolina, Southern Mechanical Engineering. She is a staff professional in the construction materials testing department, where she “basically hangs out on construction sites and makes sure that the materials they are using are suitable for building.” She also spends time in the office writing reports and proposals. She moved back to South Carolina to be with her family, and lives with her two “wonderful” dogs.

Elizabeth Baker lives in Longmont, Colo., where she takes care of children. • Having graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology with a B.F.A. in 2005, Julia Burns now works as a fashion designer. She lives in Brooklyn, N.Y. • Kathleen Morgan is a leadership development and training coordinator for the Girl Scouts’ Chaparral Council. She lives in Albuquerque, N.M. • Katherine Travis is a Ph.D. graduate student at the University of California-San Diego.

She expects to graduate in May 2006.• Lindsay Simmons is in graduate school studying social work at the George Warren Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis, Mo. She expects to receive her M.S.W. in May 2007.

A mere six months after graduating from CC, English and creative writing major Scott Burr published an article in the December 2005 issue of Climbing magazine. • Matthew Monroe works in Minneapolis for ThinkEquity Partners in institutional equity sales. • Amy Salm and Jon Wilson were married Aug. 13 in Lake Forest, Ill. Following a honeymoon in Aruba, the couple is making a home in Centerville, Mass., on Cape Cod. • Lauren Stentz joined fellow alumnae Millie Olson ’68 and Liz Paul ’79 at Amazon Advertising, working with the account management team and learning about the advertising business. Some of the projects she’s been involved with include a brand campaign for the Kashi Company, consumer and trade promotions for Torani Syrup, a handful of new business pitches, and pro bono work for the Marine Mammal Center. Says Lauren: “San Francisco is a great city for both art and business and it’s been wonderful to be around so many motivated and successful people.” Lauren was first introduced to the company after contacting Millie through the Career Center’s CC Alumni Network.
