In an homage to the Page Six-style of the New York Post, Doug Lansky’s Christmas mailing, written by “Liz Smith,” featured 2005’s tawdry tales from his Stockholm-based family. Highlights include the following: “The ever-smiling 11¼2-year-old India reportedly kept her parents busy, largely due to a vocabulary and analysis capability more limited than George W. Bush. Sienna, now nearly five years old, is barraging her parents with annoying questions in both fluent Swedish and English.” It was speculated that Doug’s wife, Signe, “unlike Brad Pitt and Paris Hilton, has taken a job as a family doctor.” Doug himself, “after pumping out four books in the last 18 months,” has “technically qualified” as an “international best-selling author” — a title also claimed by Tom Clancy, Kitty Kelly, and L. Ron Hubbard. • Rebecca McQuitty is a veterinary intern working with small animals at Michigan State University’s Veterinary Teaching Hospital. • Currie Jacobus Meyer is happy to report that her husband, Stephen, has just completed (“well, mostly”) their new post-and-beam timber-framed home in Steamboat, Colo.
