My book Peckinpah’s Tragic Westerns (co-authored with Robert Merrill) was published in 2011 by McFarland and Co.  Recent publications include “Clint Eastwood’s Mystic River as Tragic Action”. Co-author, Robert Merrill, In Clint Eastwood: Actor and Director, ed. Leonard Engel, U. of Utah Press, 2012; “Razing Cain with Chandler and Wilder:  The Prometheus-Pandora Myth in Double Indemnity.” Co-author Robert Merrill, Dec. 2014 issue of Texas Studies in Literature and Language.

Current project:  A book, co-authored with Robert Merrill, on Robert Altman, centering on Altman’s quirky, brilliant screen adaptation of Raymond Chandler’s classic Phillip Marlowe detective novel, The Long Goodbye (1973).
