Thirty-five alumni and friends of the college traversed India in April, led by Colorado College President Richard F. Celeste, former ambassador to India, and his wife, Jacqueline Lundquist. The group visited Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Jodhpur, and Mombai (Bombay). They spotted a tiger at Ranthambore National Park and found the Taj Mahal more than deserving of its “wonder of the world” status. In New Delhi, they met U.S. Ambassador to India David Mulford at the American Embassy. View pictures from the trip below. Another Alumni Trip on the “Dock”et
We’ll explore the Bay Area and Napa Valley wine country by clipper. We’ll sail along the San Francisco waterfront, cruise beneath the Golden Gate Bridge, and anchor off Sausalito. Once docked, we’ll tour two vineyards with ties to Colorado College graduates: the Joseph Phelps vineyards, hosted by Bill Phelps ’76, and the Green and Red vineyard, founded in 1977 by Jay Heminway ’63. Master chefs from the Bay Area will come aboard to prepare culinary events, and CC Trustee John Chalik ’67 will prepare a gourmet meal paired with wine from those vineyards. For further information, go to www.ColoradoCollege.edu/alumni/Trips/wine.asp or contact the alumni office staff at (800) 852-6519.
