James Berryhill and Julie Vehrenkamp were married Oct. 4 in Lyons, Colo. • Amy Stanton Conklin was elected to the Littleton, Colo., city council. • Just before Thanksgiving, Chicago area alumni, diehard hockey supporters, and Beta brothers turned out to watch the Tigers battle the University of Wisconsin Badgers in Madison. Attendees included Eric Fishhaut, Biff Gentsch, Tom Minahan, Jon Olson, Sally Turner, and Todd Olson ’84 along with many family members. A highlight came when five-time Olympic gold medal winner Bonnie Blair paid a visit to the group’s skybox. • Meaghan Ryan Houska and her husband Mike live in Bend, Ore., with their children, Sam and Johanna. • Laurie O’Connor lives in Mechanicsville, Md., where she works as a communications engineer.

Jim Bowman has been assigned to the U.S. Air Force Academy as a faculty member in the military strategic science department, teaching air power employment. • Gilbert Chavez and Akemi Minagawa were married Sept. 29 in Setagaya-ku, Tokyo. They live in Tokyo, where Gilbert is a lecturer in the M.B.A. program at the International University of Japan. • Myong-he Gayhart-Schanck is a flight attendant with American Airlines. She lives in Jacksonville, Fla., with her husband John. • Dan Post is president and C.E.O. of Contentlab in San Jose, Calif.
Joel Van Diver-Johnson is a managing director with Lugano Partners in Santa Barbara, Calif. His hedge fund, Lugano Fund, has recently gone over $1 billion in assets. He also recently joined the invitation-only Santa Fe Institute.

Thomas Coogan lives in Northbrook, Ill., and has been trading stock options for 10 years. He and his wife Katie spend their free time carting their two boys to hockey rinks and baseball diamonds. • Cynthia Quintero Hansen is president of CH Advertising in Tucson, Ariz. • Robin Ritter teaches chemistry in Georgetown, Texas, where she lives with her new husband Bill Glover.

Stuart Kanchuger works for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage in Louisville, Colo. • David Lowden lives in Fort Myers, Fla., with his wife Kelly and their three children. He is working on a family history production of his family’s garnet mine which was founded by his great-great grandfather in 1876 at the base of the Hudson River gorge in the Adirondack region of upstate New York. • Kelly Green McQueen has returned to Phoenix, Ariz., following a fellowship with the American Association for the Advancement of Science in Washington, D.C. • Lisa Peterson and husband Ted Craig ’87 live in Arlington, Va., with their children, Alejandro and Sofia. • Bryan Ross lives in Pueblo, Colo., where he is the procurement and operations planning manager for Trane.

Paula Hildebrand Gewarges is a child and adolescent psychiatrist in private practice in Forrest City, Ark. • Lynne Kemp Lane is director of assessment and student programs for Falcon School District 49 in Colorado Springs, where she lives with her husband Phillip and their daughter, Rebecca. • Michael Stefanic is an attorney with Anderson Julian & Hull in Boise, Idaho. • Robyn Waltz and David Porter were married Dec. 20, 2002. They live in Twin Falls, Idaho, where Robyn is a stay-at-home mom to her four daughters and a new son, Will.

lives in Austin, Texas, where she is a physician with Austin Occupational Medicine. • Robert Koch visited John Young in Madison in November, where they attended the CC hockey game against the University of Wisconsin. They also ran into Shep Davis and his family. • Tyra Shearn Segars lives in Lafayette, Colo., and is a publications manager with Sopris West.

Susan O’Hanlon Crotteau is an attorney in the legal department at the University of Nebraska Foundation in Lincoln. • Anne Doud and Kevin Petersen were married Sept. 29, 2002, in Denver. Alumni in attendance were Madlen Caplow ’86, Kathleen Delaney, Andrea Adamo McGarva, and Liz Moodie McGuffee. The reception was held at the Lumber Baron Inn, which is owned and operated by Walter ’90 and Maureen Coll ’90 Keller.

Kimberly Harrell has relocated from London to Aurora, Colo., with her husband David Drew and their daughters, Beatrice, Isabella, and Hannah. • Ellen Gilmore Hoffman and family have moved to Penn Valley, Calif., because of her husband Scott’s Air Force assignment. Ellen is substitute teaching and getting their kids settled in again.

Steve McDougal is the corporate and institutional sales manager with 3 Phases Energy in San Francisco. • Chris Young is a senior portfolio manager with SDR Capital Management. He lives in San Anselmo, Calif., with his wife Lisa Hilgers and their daughters, Sophie and Claire.

Lance Encell is a senior scientist with Promega Corporation in Madison, Wis., where he lives with his wife Andrea and their daughters, Emerson and Elly. • Jim Grossman finished second at the World Surf Kayaking Championships, held in Easky, County Sligo, Ireland, in September. He lost by a slim margin to his younger brother, John. • Wendy Howerter lives in Kailua Kona, Hawaii, with her husband Rich Tucciarone and their new son, Anthony. Wendy is a stay-at-home mom and also does freelance public relations work. • Tony Kreusch is an ice crew engineer for the Colorado Avalanche hockey team in Denver. • Elizabeth Brownsberger Mader is a department supervisor with Wilderness River Adventures in Page, Ariz.

Bernadette Muskus Fischer is a senior vice president of sales for Knowledge Base Marketing in Darien, Conn. • Marron Lee and Michael Nelson were married in September. Alumnae in attendance were Lucy Shemilt and Jena Graber Hausmann ’93. They live in Albuquerque, N.M., where Marron continues to prosecute violent criminals for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of New Mexico. • Nelson Repenning was granted tenure at the MIT Sloan School of Management as a professor of system dynamics. He also received the Jay Wright Forrester Award from the System Dynamics Society, recognizing the author of the best contribution to the field of system dynamics in the preceding five years. • Christine Stolz-Noel moved to Florida with her son and is attending nursing school. She is enjoying the beach and can’t wait to learn how to surf.
