My art is a reaction to the isolation and solitude
I experienced growing up in the San Luis Valley
of Southern Colorado... I dislike the term “abstract”
when it is used to describe my work because it implies
a translation, a manipulation or reinterpretation
of things observed.
I
consider my paintings relics: souvenirs of a spiritual,
inward journey molded with the passions,
dramas, and desires that constitute the human experience.
