Katy Garton (BA Physics 2001) spent the summer of 2000 working with Dr. Whitten. She investigated literature on gender and physics education and then reviewed traditional textbooks to discover needed improvements.  Garton developed problem guidelines for future collaborators.

Suzanne Foster (BA Physics, minors: Women’s Studies, African Studies, 2001) and Abby Ryder (BA Physics, minor?: Art, 2002) worked in conjunction with Dr. Whitten during the summer of 2001.  Using Garton’s summary of guidelines, they developed a complete set of kinematics problems and some of the momentum problems now published on this site.

Hillary Swanson (BA Physics, 2002) and Shannon Dorato (BA Physics, 2004) have spent the summer of 2002 working along side Suzanne Foster and Dr. Barbara Whitten. They completed the linear momentum problem sets and have begun brainstorming for future problems. Also they have created this website which is still in the making.

Jessica Rivas (BA Physics 2004) and Sarah Schuster (BA Physics 2004) worked with Barbara during December of 2004. Jes developed problems involving alternative energy, especially wind power. Sarah worked on biomechanical problems, many involving diving.

During the fall of 2004 Shannon improved and updated our website.

Sarah Matthews (BA Physics 2007) and Shannon Dorato worked through the summer of 2005 writing energy and rotational motion problems and updating the website.
