ONLINE VERSION OF THE CC BULLETIN

CC's magazine for alumni, parents and friends

The Spring 2008 Bulletin went to press as the state-of-the-art Edith Kinney Gaylord Cornerstone Arts Center neared completion. Read more about it as well as articles about the Block Plan and the Ahlberg Outdoor Education Program.

Sustaining the Unique Intellectual Adventure is the main subject of the December 2007 Bulletin, which announces the Achieving the Vision Campaign.

The Summer 2007 Bulletin focuses on food and wine. Two students organize a fair-trade start-up; CC’s soup kitchen may be the oldest campus-based one in the U.S.; alumni recall their favorite eateries; current students reveal their food preferences; and 1874 Society members revel Harry-Potter style amid alumni-produced vintages. In “You Want Fries with That?”, alumni who’ve chosen careers in the hospitality field reveal how their liberal arts education serves them while they serve others. Also available, web extras to this issue.

The April 2007 Bulletin investigates various "firsts" of CC grads, whether in the form of first generation college students, first books, or first jobs.

The December 2006 Bulletin celebrates the student projects made possible by venture grants, including the cover story about the CC Farm.

As the class of '68 turns 60, the July 2006 issue focuses on transitions, a constant aspect of CC's stimulating atmosphere. Feature stories look at transitions on several scales, from an individual, to a generation, to communities.

In the March 2006 issue of the Bulletin on spirituality, you will find a historical account of the college’s path of pluralism, current students’ descriptions of the spiritual environment here, an alumna’s exploration of how a CC education encouraged some alumni to seek religious or spiritual vocations or practices, and a collaborative student-faculty sociological assessment of the importance of religion in America today. The Tiger Wire section features mini-profiles of more alumni in spirit-inspired careers.
