We look forward to welcoming you to campus for Family and Friends Weekend 2019! Spend some time reconnecting with your student and experience first-hand the people, programs, and places that make Colorado College a true original.
While you're on campus, visit the fully renovated Tutt Library. With nearly 1,900 visitors each day, the library — the largest carbon-neutral, net-zero energy academic library in the country — is the intellectual hub of campus. Make sure you head up to the fourth floor for an incredible view of Pikes Peak!
Another hub of activity you'll want to explore is the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center at Colorado College. Peruse a variety of permanent and traveling exhibitions, drop in to the Bemis School of Art to explore your creative side, or see a show! The mainstage theatre season kicks off on Friday, Sept. 27 with the regional premiere and winner of the 2015 Tony Award for Best Play, “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time,” and the family series will present “Busytown: The Musical.”
The library and Fine Arts Center both embody CC's pioneering ways. Continued development of these areas, as well as emphasis on empowering our students to take innovative approaches to problem-solving and increasing support of scholarships, are top priorities for Building on Originality: The Campaign for Colorado College.
To hear updates about the college and the progress being made on our strategic plan, Building on the Block, put President Tiefenthaler's keynote address on your Saturday morning schedule. The keynote will be followed by a presentation highlighting CC's Faces of Innovation, then a festive Community Picnic on Tava Quad.
Family and Friends Weekend will offer many ways for your and your student to enjoy time together. The full schedule will be updated throughout the summer, so watch for updates and new information. Registration will begin in August.
