Annie Brandstrader ’19 and Zoe Blandon ’20 laugh as they get instructions from Chef Domenico Santacroce, who only speaks Italian. Students in the Italian Cooking Half Block class hosted by Professor Bizarro and taught by chefs Domenico Santacroce and Antonella Di Cistofaro from Hotel Ovidius where their restaurant Santacroce is located in Sulmona, Italy. CC students were taught the history of dishes and then spent their classes getting hands on lessons on how to make complicated and authentic Italian dishes using ingredients brought to CC by the chefs.
