Youth Hockey
While Honnen doesn't have its own in-house hockey league we do host a number of youth organizations in the greater Colorado Springs area. Youth leagues will mostly run from September/October till sometime in March with registration usually beginning in mid summer; some organizations may offer late registration after the season begins. organization may Also offer skill sessions or camps during the off season. Many local organizations recreational teams are part of the Pikes Peak Hockey League and will play games against each other in addition to their own teams.
Cheyenne Mountain Hockey
Consists of Cheyenne Mountain High School Hockey programs and Cheyenne Mountain Hockey Club that use honnen as their primary practice and game facility. If you would like more info please contact Erik Austin at eaustin@cmsd12.org
Woodland Park Hockey Association
This is a volunteer-run organization that aims to provide an affordable and inclusive youth hockey program for the pikes peak region. Consists of mainly recreational teams with some competitive (tournament) teams. Unique in that they use Honnen has their primary facility during the warmer months of the season and Woodland Park's outdoor rink as their primary facility during the colder months. Ages from mites (8 under) to bantams (14 under)
Colorado Springs Amateur Hockey Association
This is the largest youth hockey organization in the area with both recreational leagues and competitive travel teams. Ages range from mites (8 under) to Midget (16 under). Also consists of their tier I Division the Pikes Peak Miners, which is targeted at elite players looking to advance to pro and semi pro level.
