Global Scholars Program

Pikes Peak

Newly admitted degree-seeking multilingual students may be asked to attend the Global Scholars Program to be held July 17 through August 12, 2017 at Colorado College, ending just before International Student Orientation. The Global Scholars Program, or GSP, is designed to provide students with the opportunity to adjust to U.S. classroom culture in a higher education context, as well as gain a valuable introduction to the intense academic pace of the college's Block Plan.  Additionally, the GSP allows multilingual students to strengthen their fluency with academic English through auxiliary practice with written and spoken skills, and the availability of additional ESL support.

Students will be asked to participate in the Global Scholars Program because their applications indicate they may benefit from this academic preparation program and additional language instruction and support.  The GSP will not only prepare students to succeed at CC, but will also allow them to become familiar with campus resources and services, as well as explore the local Colorado Springs community.
