Teaching & Learning Circles
While the blockly Crown Faculty Luncheon Series provides a regular opportunity to gather as faculty and consider a wide range of topics related to teaching and the professional life of our faculty, Crown Teaching & Learning Circles support sustained engagement of a smaller group of faculty, staff, or students. Many of these happen informally across the college and are natural extensions of the kind of teaching and inquiry we undertake.
Crown Teaching and Learning Circles acknowledge the long-standing and varied Circle practices of Indigenous Peoples of North America as foundational to this endeavor. Unlike a workshop or other professional development offerings, facilitated from a position of expertise, Crown Teaching and Learning Circles ask participants to benefit from all members of the group, recognize their different experiences and expertise, and collaboratively cultivate expertise as a group.
Currently active T&L Circles are listed to the left. Please contact Jane Murphy (firstname.lastname@example.org) with questions, suggestions, or to request modest Crown support for your T&L Circle.
