New Faculty Orientation Series

The Dean's Office and the Crown Faculty Center support the transition to the College of new tenure-track faculty, year-long visitors, and Riley Scholars. Beginning with New Faculty Orientation at the end of the summer and continuing with blockly events, New Faculty programming provides support for teaching on the Block Plan, introduces new faculty to colleagues across the campus, and shares College support for faculty scholarship. Fostering community among the new faculty is also a goal of this cohort-based faculty development program.

Following New Faculty Orientation, new faculty, visitors, and Riley Scholars meet the second Tuesday of the block at 3:30 p.m.

New faculty, visitors, and Riley Scholars should contact Jane Murphy if they're interested in enrolling in the New Faculty Canvas Course.

Heidi R. Lewis is the director of and support specialist for the Riley Scholars-in-Residence Program and will work directly with the Riley Scholars as they navigate the program. For more information, visit the Riley Scholars-in-Residence Program website.
