    Information for Guests

    The Colorado College Commencement ceremony will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2019, at 8:30 a.m. on the Tava Quad (formerly Armstrong Quad). This beautiful outdoor event faces Pikes Peak, and is located just north of Armstrong Hall. The students will begin the march from Palmer Hall to Tava Quad promptly at 8:30 a.m.

    In the case of inclement weather, tune in to KRCC at 91.5 FM or check the CC website – where CC will post any change in location or rain delay information.

    The event will be live-streamed for those who can't attend in person.

    Parking and Accessibility

    CC-GRAD-EntranceParking-2019Accessible parking will be available next to Armstrong Hall (parking lot C-2 on the campus map), as well as in the S-1 lot behind the Office of Campus Safety and in the S-5 lot at the corner of Cache La Poudre Street and Nevada Avenue.

    Except for the Spencer lot (parking lot S-3 on the campus map), all other campus parking lots will be available for guest parking. Limited street parking is also available.

    Entry

    Gates open at 7 a.m. Only guests with tickets may enter the ticketed areas.

    • All bags will be checked by security. Please do not bring any coolers, tents, lawn chairs, large camp chairs, over-sized bags, or beach umbrellas.
    • Original tickets must be presented for entrance. Seating is first come, first served. Saving seats is not permitted. Parties should enter together.
    • Students must provide tickets to their guests prior to the event.
    • Colorado College is not responsible for lost, stolen, or destroyed guest tickets. Replacement tickets are not available. Tickets are not available on site and cannot be replaced by event staff.

    Restrooms

    The nearest restrooms are located outside South Hall and in the basement of Armstrong Hall.

    First Aid

    There is a first aid station located on the southwest side of Armstrong Hall.

    Closed Captioning and Sign Language Interpreter

    Live streaming of Baccalaureate and Commencement with closed captioning can be viewed on personal electronic devices at www.coloradocollege.edu/liveSign language interpreting (ASL) will be provided for Baccalaureate and Commencement.

    Photography

    GradImages will be at Commencement to photograph graduates during the ceremony. Don't forget to pre-register prior to the event to share your photos with loved ones. Graduates will also receive a free 5x7 photo compliments of President Tiefenthaler.

    A family photography area will be roped off at the southeast corner of the stage so loved ones can get close to snap a quick photo.

    DVDs of the ceremony can be purchased online until June 15, 2019.

    Audience members for the Commencement event may be filmed, recorded, or photographed. Visitors consent to appear in documentation and media and its future use by Colorado College.

    Beverages

    Complimentary coffee and water will be available.

    Flowers

    Flowers and flower leis will be available for purchase.

    Reception

    President Jill Tiefenthaler hosts a reception for graduates and their families immediately following Commencement on Cutler Quad.
