About

The Green Room Certification (GRC) program was created by CC students and is currently coordinated through the Office of Sustainability Green Programs Interns. GRC promotes peer-to-peer education to foster sustainable living practices on campus in residence halls, houses, and apartments on campus. This program is supported and sponsored by Bon Appetit and in partnership with Outdoor Education.

How To Get Green Room Certified

1) Review the GRC Packet. 

2) Download the GRC Checklist and follow the instructions.

3) Fill out this Get Certified Form and upload the GRC Checklist.

4) Upon filling out the form above, the Green Programs Intern or another representative from the Office of Sustainability will reach out to schedule a room check to get certified. You might even receive suggestions for increasing your points!

5) If you meet the required criteria, you will receive your certification door display, a reusable cutlery set, and a coupon for Local Goods.

Green Home Certification

About
The CC Green Home Certification (GHC) program promotes peer-to-peer education to foster sustainable living practices off-campus. All residential areas (homes, apartments, etc.) located off-campus are eligible to participate in this program. The GHC Checklist serves as guidance for both household and individual changes one can make every day to lessen their impact on the planet. Points are based on environmental importance, difficulty of implementation, and cost. A representative student from each household must complete the checklist and submit it via this online Summit form. Once submitted, we will reach out to virtually conduct a home check to confirm your sustainable actions.
How To Get Green Home Certified

1) Review the GHC Packet to see what it takes to get certified.

2) Download the GHC Checklist and fill it out accordingly. 

3) Fill out the Get Certified Form on Summit and upload your completed GHC Checklist. 

4) Once submitted, a representative from the Office of Sustainability will reach out via your CC email.

5) If you meet the required criteria, your household will receive a sustainability kit with various sustainable household items and a certification plaque!

  • You earn 1 point for each friend that refers to you in the GRC form for up to 3 points.
