Green Office Certification

The Green Office Certification is intended to help staff and faculty improve the sustainability of their office space through simple actions that we have outlined in the Certification Worksheet.

1) Download the Certification Worksheet by clicking here or the green leaf

2) Follow the included instructions

3) Email the completed Certification Worksheet back to us

4) A representative will contact you to schedule a verification inspection

5) Once verified, you will receive a "Green Office" plaque for your office

How the Certification System Works

Each action listed in the Certification Worksheet has been assigned a point value based on its perceived difficulty, benefits, and cost. The lowest level of certification (bronze) is achieved when you have satisfied 70% of the applicable criteria. If you believe certain criteria do not apply to your office, you may remove that item from the calculation by designating it as "Not Applicable." Successively higher levels of certification require progressively higher percentages of completed criteria. Options also exist to certify entire departments or groups of offices.
