AASHE STARS is a self-reporting framework for colleges to assess their sustainability performance. The first Colorado College STARS report came out in 2014, and the college earned a 'silver star' in sustainability. Since then, the Office of Sustainability has been restructured to focus on making Colorado College more sustainable under the STARS framework. The categories listed on the left side of this page are roughly the categories of STARS that are evaluated at the college, which are also represented in the working groups of the Campus Sustainability Council. The Office of Sustainability hopes to perform the STARS report every year, and to continue to improve upon its performance.
