Who We Are
Tara Misra is the Sexual Assault Response Coordinator and directs the Sexual Assault Response and Prevention Program at Colorado College. She came to CC in July 2013. Tara is a confidential resource, working directly with students seeking support and resources after an assault to ensure that they have all the information they need to make decisions for themselves. She works with staff from the CC Counseling Center and TESSA to ensure that students can access these resources 24 hours a day during the academic year. Tara supervises SOSS, a group of CC students that provides education, support and referrals on issues of sexual violence and harassment. Additionally, Tara is working with the CC community to increase awareness of sexual violence, stalking and intimate partner violence, as well as promoting healthy and equitable relationships on campus.
Student Organization for Sexual Safety (SOSS) is a student led organization whose members can provide support and act as a source of information and referral. SOSS members are confidential resources who fun a 24-hour hotline for the campus community. They also conduct educational programming on campus to increase awareness and campus involvement in ending sexual violence, stalking and intimate partner violence.
