Who We Are
The sexual assault response coordinator directs the Sexual Assault Response and Prevention Program at Colorado College as a confidential resource, working directly with students seeking support and resources after an assault to ensure that they have all the information they need to make decisions for themselves. The SARC works with staff from the CC Counseling Center and TESSA to ensure that students can access these resources 24 hours a day during the academic year, and also supervises Student Organization for Sexual Safety (SOSS), a group of CC students who provides education, support, and referrals on issues of sexual violence and harassment. Additionally, the SARC works with the CC community to increase awareness of sexual violence, stalking, and intimate partner violence, as well as promoting healthy and equitable relationships on campus.
The Student Organization for Sexual Safety
Student Organization for Sexual Safety (SOSS) is a student-led organization whose members can provide support and act as a source of information and referral. SOSS members conduct educational programming on campus to increase awareness and campus involvement in ending sexual violence, stalking, and intimate partner violence, and in promoting healthy sexual and relationship engagement.
The Student Title IX Assistance and Resource Team (START) is a team of students trained as an on-campus confidential resource, providing peer-to-peer assistance for students dealing with any Title IX-related issues. Visit our web page via the link above to learn more about the team.
