Update - Climate Survey
October 11, 2013
Dear Faculty and Staff,
Last spring, we undertook the "Your Voice, Your CC" campus climate survey. This survey provided baseline data for CC and is an important step toward our goal of becoming a recognized great place to work.
Among the positive results from the survey, we know that faculty and staff share a deep connection to the mission of the college and that we have strong bonds with our students. It is obvious that there is a sense of pride in working at CC, and a growing enthusiasm about the college's direction. The survey also revealed opportunities for improvement. We should work to improve communication across the college, enhance our collective understanding of the staff compensation program, and establish professional development opportunities for staff.
Key findings from the survey were presented in four sessions on May 16 and at the college's Fall Conference by our survey partner, Rich Boyer from ModernThink. In addition, division results are being presented to each department this fall. Going forward, we will conduct surveys on a regular basis so we can track progress and changes, and develop action plans for continued improvement.
