Team-Teaching Classroom Space

Team-Teaching Classroom Space

At a strategic planning session with the Natural Science faculty and from a submittal through the website, it was pointed out that classroom space for team-teaching is limited in departments that want to do more team-teaching.   The team-teaching model for introductory and intermediate level science courses has shown to work well with the lab classes being broken into two groups.  More science faculty would like to adopt the model, but there is not enough classroom space in Barnes/Olin that can hold up to 32 students.  One suggestion to alleviate this issue would be to have a list of classroom space on campus that can accommodate 30 or more students and have those classrooms made available to faculty who are team-teaching first before the classroom gets scheduled by the department.   This would demonstrate the value of team-teaching while also illustrating that classrooms are community assets.
