Student Employment Opportunities

Student Employment Opportunities

Many students have expressed difficulty in finding on campus employment, particularly students with work-study as a part of their financial aid package and international students. Some students and staff members have attributed this problem to several factors, with the most emphasis on a lack of communication regarding what jobs are available and a dedicated coordinator for student employment. The college should do all in its power to ensure that students who need to work to subsidize and enhance their education find employment.

After being sent to the Cabinet for consideration, the President's Office took up the task of conducting research at the Top 40 Liberal Arts Colleges to investigate the best practices in student employment. The President's Office is aiming to have this research completed and new practices initiated by the start of the 2013-2014 academic year.  Please check back soon for further updates.
