Notes—Meeting with Art Department
26 September 2012
Colorado College’s campus landscape: We need a physical and aesthetic environment that provides both a foundation and an inspiration for our academic and institutional aims. To that end, the college should move towards having an integrated campus design that is in harmony with the fundamental values of the liberal arts and with the innovative teaching and learning practices that distinguish the College. The design will provide guiding principles for a campus aesthetic that promotes a life of the mind, contextualized learning, environmental sustainability, and enduring connections between the College, Colorado Springs, and the Rocky Mountain West.
