New Student Orientation
August 22, 2012
Dear Staff and Faculty Colleagues,
I hope that you enjoyed your summer and were able to find some time to relax with family and friends. It was an interesting summer to say the least; we experienced everything from the tragedy of the wildfires that burned across the state to the excitement of Colorado College having the opportunity to host President Barack Obama on campus.
As the summer draws to a close, it’s time for us to shift our focus to the arrival of first-year students and their families. New students will begin arriving on Friday, August 24, to move into the residence halls and begin New Student Orientation. We’ll need help from student leaders, faculty, and staff to ensure that NSO week is a success. I ask that you do everything you can to help our new students and their families feel welcome and comfortable on campus.
This year, we have a helpful new resource for new students and for those of us who will be welcoming them to campus. On the Colorado College Bound website, students can find all of the information and forms that they will need for their arrival on campus. If you have questions about NSO, please check out the Colorado College Bound website at http://www.coloradocollege.edu/other/ccbound/.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Dean Mike Edmonds (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Associate Dean Rochelle Mason (email@example.com).
I am looking forward to another invigorating year at CC!
