As we work together to advance our strategic plan, it's exciting to provide updates as we turn our ideas into action. Track our ongoing efforts at Building On the Block: Our Progress. In the first of four updates throughout the academic year, we share details on success in implementing our strategic plan, work that supports our mission to provide the finest liberal arts education in the country. In 2013-14 the Center for Immersive Learning and Engaged Teaching funded ten pilot projects that advanced the center's vision. One of those successful projects was an adjunct writing course focused on senior theses.

Building on the success of the Office of International Programs, CC has created an Office of Field Study by hiring its first director, Drew Cavin. The Office of Field Study will assist faculty in all disciplines as they design and incorporate field study into their courses.

CC launched its Premier Summer Learning Experience with three signature programs. The Colorado Documentary Institute was a huge success that culminated with the production of short films.

CC now moves into phase two of the library renovation project: design architect selection.
