Conference Calls

Everyone in the campus community can make and host conference calls! The best way to do this is to use webex. You'll need the following:

  • a webex call-in number (this is just a phone number)
  • a meeting access code (think of this like a meeting room number)
  • a host PIN (think of this like a key that unlocks the door to the meeting room)

To get this information (you only have to get this information once) - find your access code and host PIN (and global all-in number):

  1. Sign in to CC’s Webex(
    • The sign-in button is near the top-right of the page
    • Enter your CC email address and click the Next button
    • This will redirect you to Single Sign-In (SSI)
    • Sign in to SSI (and authenticate with MFA, as necessary)
    • You’ll be redirected back to your Webex Dashboard
  2. Click the text on your dashboard that says “More ways to join”
  3. A pop-up should appear with your personal meeting room information
  4. The Global call-in numbers link shows webex phone numbers for use in various countries
  5. Copy, screenshot, or take a picture of the information for future use.
  6. You can now make and arrange phone-based conference calls!

There are several ways to set up conference calls, but this is the simplest:

  1. Send your invitees the webex call-in number, access code, and time date for the call
    • Do not send them your host PIN
  2. When it's time for the call, call that same call-in number and at the voice prompt,  Enter the meeting access code
  3. Enter your host PIN at the prompt for an attendee ID or host PIN
  4. The meeting starts and anyone who has already called in will now join the meeting
  5. The meeting will end after you (the host) hang up the phone
