    Password reset on macs

    Macs often have difficulty with password changes.

    Papercut: after changing your password, print jobs will no longer go through.  They'll just say "hold for authentication"

    In both cases, the issue and fix is usually the same (and very quick).  

    • Open Spotlight (magnifying glass) and search for "keychain"
    • Open the "Keychain Access" program that it finds
    • Find the "papercut" keychain item and delete it

    If you're having trouble logging into email via Outlook after the password change, you most likely need to enter your username as username@coloradocollege.edu (not email address, but username).

    That's it!  With the old saved passwords deleted, you will be asked for your new password the next time you try to print to papercut, and this time it will work.  Remember for papercut to change the username to your CC username - it will default to the wrong one.
