Email - On Premise

The quickest way to check your CC email is to use Outlook Web Access (no setup required). You can simply go to the Colorado College homepage, scroll to the bottom, and click "Sign Into CC" Once in, use the link in the bottom paragraph of the text on the left side to sign into the old email system.

Colorado College is gradually transitioning to hosting email on Microsoft's Office 365 service. Students and Alumni are all on Office 365, and some offices and departments are as well (transition is voluntary).

On Premise email accounts have a quota of 2 GB
Office 365 email accounts have a quota of 50 GB

See below for on premise email settings (some faculty and staff)

Recommended: Exchange setup

  • Account type: Exchange
  • Email Server:
  • Domain:
  • Username: Your CC username (example: jdoe)
  • Password: Your CC password

Note: in some cases, you may need to type the domain in the username field (example:\jdoe) 

If Exchange is not an option: IMAP setup

  • Account type: IMAP
  • Incoming Server:
    • Secure with SSL: port 993
  • Outgoing Server:
    • if on tigernet:
    • if not on tigernet: outgoing server of your internet provider
    • Secure with TLS: port 587
  • Requires Authentication: Yes 
    • Your CC Username (example: jdoe)

Not recommended: POP setup

  • Account type: POP
  • POP
    • Secure with SSL: port 995
  • SMTP server: specific to your internet service provider
  • Leave a copy of retrieved messages on the server: Check this if you'd like to keep a backup copy in your CC email. This is recommended, but up to you. Remember if you do not leave a copy on the server, anything deleted from your email client is deleted forever.
