Job Candidates

Is the CC still hiring?
Yes, the CC remains open and is actively recruiting open positions. Start your job search.

Are job interviews happening in-person or online?
Hiring managers are responsible for coordinating interviews, but in general, first interviews are usually by phone with follow-up interviews by phone or video conference.

What if I don't feel well on the day of my in-person interview?
If you are sick on the day of your interview, please contact the hiring manager to reschedule.

Are the positions you are hiring for required to work on campus or can I work from home?
During the COVID-19 outbreak, telework is highly encouraged for positions with duties that can be accomplished remotely. However, some CC staff positions require you to be on campus.

Where can I learn more about CC's COVID-19 response measures?
CC is continually updating our Coronavirus Updates & Resources page related to COVID-19.

Hiring Managers and New Employees

What is best practice for interviewing during the COVID-19 outbreak?
In order to limit trips to campus, an option for hiring managers is to replace in-person interviews with phone or video interviews over Webex. Please contact Matt Cherry if you need more guidance.

When can new employees begin working?
While there are no restrictions on start dates at this time, we are encouraging hiring managers to postpone them until we return to normal on-campus operations, if possible.

How do I ensure a new hire's I-9 is properly processed if my I-9 coordinator is working from home or my new hire will be teleworking?
The I-9 requires that new hires have their documents inspected in-person so a visit to the HR Department by your new employee is required. Please contact Matt Cherry if you have questions or issues related to the I-9 policy.

Are new employee orientations available during COVID-19?
CC's new employee orientations, CCNew, will continue to take place as scheduled.

New employees who need to attend CCNew will receive information via email on how to attend the appropriate session. Please note that WebEx may be used to facilitate the session.
