Returning Students

Returning students are able to choose rooms across campus during Room Selection in March and April every year. Class of 2024 housing selection will take placed during Block 4.  The steps for room selection typically start early in the spring semester so stay informed by visiting the Housing webpage often. Specific dates for 2023-2024 Housing Selection will be posted here and on the main webpage once we finalize the Housing Selection Timeline.

General guidelines for Returning Student Housing Selection

As part of the process of living on-campus, all students must complete the Online Housing Agreement.

Housing Agreement available - TBA

Housing Agreement due - TBA

Where can I find it? Banner Student Housing (You must use your CC credentials & Google Chrome to access the agreement)

At the bottom of this page is the Housing 101 Video for students to watch and become familiar with the online room selection process.

Each student will receive a time slot to select online. All students will receive an email instructing them to log in to Banner Student Housing to view their time slot when they are ready. Time slots are randomly computer-generated within each class, however, students who have submitted their online Housing Agreement by the deadline will be given earlier time slots than the students within their class who have not submitted the agreement by the deadline.

If you are selecting a room with a roommate, you should use the earliest of the assigned time slots between the two roommates. You will not be able to access Room Selection until you have completed your online Housing Agreement. If you did not receive a time slot and feel that you should have one, contact Housing via email at housing@coloradocollege.edu

Enter your roommate's six-digit CCID in your Banner Student Housing Preferences for Preferred Roommate Request. Note that your roommate must also select you in order for the two of you to be able to choose a room together. You will see the word "match" and the name of your preferred roommate(s) when they have also entered you as their preferred roommate.

When timeslots are released, you will be able to view the available buildings and rooms by logging into Banner Student Housing. Our website has information about each building in selection as well as floor plans to assist you.

Here you can keep track of which rooms have not yet been chosen, and you can also unofficially walk through the room selection process in preparation for the actual event during your assigned time slot. We urge you to visit this site early to become familiar with the process and ask any questions you might have so that you are prepared when it comes time to actually select your room. Once room selection begins, you'll want to monitor the site frequently to see what rooms have been selected so that, when it's your turn to choose a room, you know which ones are still available. You can log in any time, but you won't be able to select a room until your designated time slot.

It's important that you have a list of preferred rooms handy so that you can move on quickly and easily if the first room you want is no longer available. Once you choose your roommate, if applicable, you will be able to select a building with an available room of the configuration you are searching for. When you see the room you want, just click on it, confirm the room selection, and you're done! Your room assignment will appear on the screen with your selected roommate(s). Once you select a roommate and room, your roommate is also assigned to that room and will be unable to choose a different room. After you select a room, you are bound by that selection and will be unable to change it.

Does CC have gender neutral Housing?

Gender Neutral housing is recognized at Colorado College. Students interested in gender-neutral housing should contact housing@coloradocollege.edu, to secure and confirm housing assignments that meet your needs (i.e. Access to all-gender restrooms on designated floor/floor sections, etc.).

What if I require housing accommodations due to a disability-related reason (e.g., accessible housing, access to a kitchen or single-use bath, visual alarm)?

Please contact the office of Accessibility Resources (719) 227-8285; Armstrong Hall, Room #219; accessibilityresources@coloradocollege.edu). Please refer to the Accessibility Resources Housing Accommodations Website:(https://www.coloradocollege.edu/offices/accessibilityresources/student-resources/accommodations/housing.html) Accessibility Resources and Housing & Residential Experience will carefully consider each request for accommodations on a case-by-case basis to ensure that students with disabilities have equitable access to the College's housing resources.

What will happen if I do not participate in the room selection process?

If you do not participate in the room selection process and are not granted off-campus approval, you will still be assigned a room over the summer by Housing unless you are going abroad or taking a leave of absence in the fall. You must still complete the On-Campus Housing Agreement.
