Edith Gaylord is the oldest of the five buildings, and it has a great community set up. The first floor contains a piano as well as a large reading room with desks and chairs. The building is set up in a "U" shape with a great courtyard for socializing outside. Edith Gaylord houses a laundry room for residents. It is located close to the Loomis desk, the desk that serves Western Ridge residents. Most apartments are four-person apartments, with the exception of six studio apartments.
