Preparation for a career in medicine has been a tradition at Colorado College for many years. The liberal arts education you obtain at CC will be an advantage at most schools, especially medical schools.
How may we help you learn more about CC's pre-health advising?
Schedule an appointment here with The Hub. With the guidance of Jane Byrnes, MSA, Pre-Health Manager, our Student Success Specialists will support you in ensuring that you are ready for your career in medicine. The Hub strongly encourages that you meet with them early in your CC career as soon as you begin considering a career in a health profession. Jane and her Hub colleagues will provide resources and guidance to help you to decide if this is the right career path for you.
All of our Student Success Specialists, located in the Student Opportunities and Advising Hub, are ready and excited to help you learn how to prepare best for your career in the health care industry. The Hub is a place that you should visit even if you aren't sure if pre-health is your path! It's also important to remember that following our pre-health track opens doors to a range of possibilities. While many CC students are interested in becoming physicians, students each year also show interest in other careers, such as dentistry, physician’s assistant programs, physical therapy, or veterinary medicine. In The Hub, you will find reading material of interest, including magazines, reference books, books on preparing for health profession schools, health profession school catalogs and pamphlets, and more.
