The Equity and Power Course Development Program
Faculty from all disciplines are encouraged to participate whether you want to develop an equity and power course for the general education program and/or want to expand your practical skills in using antiracist and inclusive teaching strategies in your courses. No matter your familiarity with using antiracist and inclusive pedagogies, we welcome you in this program so you can build your capacity.
The Equity & Power Course Development Program, hosted by the Office of the Dean of the Faculty, is offered every spring semester as part of a yearlong Liberatory Pedagogy Seminar. The first semester of this seminar is hosted by the Crown Faculty Center. In the second semester of this seminar, we discuss practical strategies for proposing a course with an equity and power general education designation, managing tension in the classroom, and designing equitable grading systems, syllabi, and assignments.
