Headspace is a subscription-based mindfulness and meditation app that believes mindfulness should encompass every aspect of life, not just when sitting to meditate. From sleep stories, to white noise, to guided meditations for happiness, creativity, or relaxation, Headspace has various different tools.
In an effort to promote mindfulness within the CC community, Creativity & Innovation at CC is currently providing Headspace app subscriptions for 90 CC students, staff, and faculty members.
We are in the pilot phase of this resource, and therefore have a limited number of subscriptions. Current users are providing monthly feedback to the Creativity & Innovation team through meet-ups, app usage statistics, and written feedback. Depending on the outcome of on-going user feedback, a phase which will complete in January of 2021, more free subscriptions will be available for 2021.
A full subscription to Headspace gives the user access to hundreds of meditations, mindfulness exercises, and animations to help build a personal practice.
