European Innovation Academy

*Due to COVID-19, the program has been canceled for Summer 2020. Due to continued travel restrictions, C&I's involvement in the program has similarly been postponed for Summer 2021. Students currently accepted will particpate in Summer 2022, and applications for Summer 2023 will open up Fall of 2022.

The European Innovation Academy (EIA) Entrepreneurship & Innovation Summer School is the world's largest entrepreneurial summer program. Students from over 80 universities and 65 countries gather in Cascais, Portugal, to participate in a three-week accelerated program to turn their ideas into startups. Although the focus of the program is entrepreneurial, it is also a chance for students to experience collaborate in a multinational setting, practice teamwork, and work with mentors and speakers from globally recognized businesses.

Creativity & Innovation at CC offers Fellowships for students from Colorado College to attend the EIA. Fellowships cover all the costs associated with participation. Please note: no experience in entrepreneurship is necessary; everyone is encouraged to apply.

Application Requirements:

  • A completed application
  • A current resume
  • Names and contact information for three references
  • Two letters of support (from faculty, employers, mentors, etc.)
