Aleksandra Pollner is the founder of a multi-disciplinary design practice set within the investigation of the built and shared environment.
She is also presently a new materials designer at Nike working on turning sea trash into usable textiles. Her projects span from object and furniture design to art and architectural installations. Her design dialogue begins with extensive research within the fields of psychology, literature, and design history that forms the underpinnings of every project. The premise of the work is to seek moments that elicit an experience of shared humanity beyond boundaries, political systems, or cultures.
During her residency, Pollner will work with students in variety of courses and will give a public talk on her interdisciplinary practices.
