    Community Engaged Leaders

Community Engaged Leaders (CEL) is a three-year developmental program designed to integrate students’ academic learning and community engagement in preparation for a lifetime of civic leadership.  Students engage continually in community work in addition to completing programming over the course of their time at Colorado College, and the program culminates in a capstone project created to address a community need.

Students join the CEL program as a second year student at the College. They are required to participate in regular meetings as a member of the program, and complete at least 75 hours of community engagement every academic year.  If a student completes all program requirements, including their capstone presentation, they graduate with the distinction of Community Engaged Leader.
