Carl came to Colorado College in 1996 after completing 26 ½ years in the U.S. Army. Carl retired as a First Sergeant. Carl was born and raised in Savannah, GA. Carl is married with one son. From 1996 to 1999 Carl worked in Mathias, Slocum and Loomis Halls. In the summer Carl worked in Bemis and McGregor Halls for the Summer Start Program. Carl is the relief shift supervisor. Carl is trained in the event management and FEMA Incident Command system. He conducts a weekly campus lighting assessment to identify any campus exterior lights that are out in need of repair.
Originally from New Jersey, Dwayne began working at Colorado College in August of 2006. Dwayne is a decorated United States Army veteran, serving several overseas tours. Dwayne received his both his Associates of Arts degree in Criminal Justice, and completed his Bachelors in Criminal Justice and Security Management, from University of Phoenix. Dwayne is trained in the FEMA Incident Command System, is an IPMBA certified bike patrol officer, trained in conducting CPTED assessments, and supervises the midnight shift. Dwayne says that, "one of my most important accomplishments in my life so far is realizing who I really am and not trying to play up any egos or pretend to be someone I am not; The best thing you can do is to find your true self and be the real you every day. This kind of accomplishment will last for life."
Wayne is the day shift supervisor and department training officer.
Samantha (Sam) Griebel is the evening shift supervisor.
Vicki was born, raised and educated in Michigan. She graduated from Ferris State University in 1995 and earned a B.S. in Recreation Leadership and Management with an emphasis in Corporate Fitness. A college internship with Apple Computer first brought Vicki to Colorado. Vicki started out at Colorado College as an assistant track and field coach. Vicki is the midnight shift dispatcher.
Flo is originally from Bay City, Texas, but is a long-time Colorado resident. She attended the Delta School of Commerce in Alexandria, Louisiana. Before coming to CC almost 9 years ago, Flo worked for Quantum in their drive testing and assembly line. Until recently, she worked part-time doing contract security work here in Colorado. Flo has two daughters and four grandchildren, and enjoys cooking, spending time with her family, travelling to Texas, and is active in her church. Flo is the day shift dispatcher.

A Colorado native, Jon grew up in La Junta. He attended the Law Enforcement Academy at Otero Jr. College in 2001 and served as a deputy for Otero County Sheriff’s Office from 1998 to 2005. Jon also was a member of the John Fisher Hose Company from 1997 to 2005, where he served as Fire Fighter and E.M.T. Jon moved to Colorado Springs in 2005 and started work at Colorado College in 2009. Jon enjoys spending time with his family, photography, playing golf, and during his time with Colorado College has come to love CC Tiger Hockey. Jon is a day shift patrol officer; an IPMBA certified bike patrol officer and trained in conducting CPTED assessments. Jon became a certified RAD instructor and works in conjunction with the Wellness Resource to provide the self-defense courses for students on campus.
Part-Time Patrol Officer
Kevin is an IPMBA certified bike patrol officer and a part-time patrol officer.
Bill was born in Zeist, Holland and grew up in St. Louis. He moved to Colorado 25 years ago. Since then, he spent 5 years in the United States Army, and then 20 years as the General Manager at the Manitou Cliff Dwellings before coming to CC in 2010. Bill has 3 children and 4 grandchildren. Bill is trained in conducting CPTED assessments and a midnight shift patrol officer.
Steven is a veteran of the United States Army. He is an evening shift patrol officer, a CPTED certified inspector, and the liaison officer for Mathias Hall.
Billy was born in Phoenix, Arizona and went to Arizona State University and then Glendale Community College on soccer scholarships. He attended the Arizona Police Academy in 1992 and spent the next 21 years as a police officer, serving as a patrol officer, SWAT team operator, GREAT and Dare Instructor, Blockwatch Coordinator, Police Explorer Coordinator, Patrol Sergeant, Community Relations Sergeant, SWAT Team Squad Leader and SWAT Team Commander. He moved to Colorado Springs in 2011. Billy is a day shift patrol officer, an IPMBA certified bike patrol officer, trained in conducting CPTED assessments, and coordinates training for Campus Safety.
Nick was born in Stockton, California. Shortly after graduating high school in 2002, he joined the United States Army as a field artillery cannon crewmember. During his 8 years of service he served 6 months in South Korea, 1 combat tour in Iraq, 1 combat tour in Afghanistan, and 2 years as an army recruiter. He has an associate’s degree in general studies and is currently pursuing a degree in Fire Science. Nick is a midnight shift patrol officer.
Chris is a midnight shift patrol officer, and an IPMBA certified bike patrol officer.
Ryan is originally from Pleasant Plains, IL. He has an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Lincoln Land Community College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Southern Illinois University. While attending Southern Illinois, Ryan worked full-time as a supervisor for OfficeMax and completed an internship with the Illinois Conservation Police. Ryan enjoys outdoor activities like hiking, mountain-biking, and running, and moved to Colorado in 2013. Ryan is a day shift patrol officer, an IPMBA certified bike patrol officer, the community liaison officer for Slocum Hall and has been developing a comprehensive bicycle theft deterrence program.
Carol came to Colorado College as a patrol officer in August 2013 . She has 18 years of experience in law enforcement and security, including 9 years in the Colorado Department of Corrections as a Correctional Officer and in the New Mexico Department of Corrections as a Classification Case Manager. She has worked as Security for Memorial Health Systems, Parkview Medical Center and Centura Healthcare. She has her Applied Science Degree in Criminal Justice. Carol is an IPMBA certified bike patrol officer and the community liaison officer for Loomis Hall.
Cody grew up in Pennsylvania where he graduated from Lycoming College with a BS in Computer Science and a minor in Environmental Science. Upon graduation he worked at Lycoming College as an IT guy before moving to Savannah, GA. While in Savannah, Cody changed career paths that would better reflect his interests and passion for helping others. His interest in law enforcement drove him to become a police officer with the city of Savannah. Missing the mountains and always wanting to live in Colorado, Cody relocated to the Springs. Having previously worked at a private liberal arts college and also having law enforcement experience, the Patrol Officer position at CC was a natural draw for Cody. On his days off, Cody is often found playing in the outdoors including fly fishing, rock climbing, hiking/backpacking, trail running, and kayaking. Cody is an evening shift patrol officer.
Kevin, a Colorado native, was born and raised in Colorado Springs, CO. He came to Colorado College after serving honorably in the U.S. Army for 4 years. He is married and has a son and a daughter. In his spare time, Kevin enjoys Snowboarding, lifting weights, and the occasional video game. Being from Colorado Springs, Kevin has a vast knowledge of the city including directions to specific locations, things to do, and also a general understanding of any of the goings on in the city. Kevin is a midnight shift patrol officer.
Carol is a native of Colorado Springs. She loves to cook, and specializes in Mexican dishes. She has been married for 26 years has three kids and four grandchildren. She is actively involved with a non-profit organization who further educates people on bullying and suicide. Carol is CPA/CPR and first aid certified. She also has worked with kids with disabilities. She has worked in Res life and summer conferences. Carol is the relief shift dispatcher.
