A Colorado College education helped lead Porschae Chitmon-Turner ’14 to a prestigious Teach for America appointment at Harrison High School, the same high school in Colorado Springs she attended before enrolling at CC.
Experiencing the academic rigor of the Block Plan, participating in clubs like the Black Student Union, and expanding her horizons through opportunities like a study abroad block in London were just some of the experiences that contributed toward her CC education.
Gifts to Colorado College’s Annual Fund help ensure that students like Chitmon-Turner have access to invaluable experiences like these.
Chitmon-Turner can’t wait to make a difference at Harrison High School, where she will teach English.
“I am already beginning to realize the value of my CC degree,” she says.
